Dauphin RCMP arrest male, seize weapons

On March 2, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Dauphin RCMP officers patrolling Main Street South in the City of Dauphin observed a male in breach of his court-ordered curfew conditions.
Officers arrested the male for failing to comply with a release order. While arresting the male, officers located a knife inside his hoodie pocket. A subsequent search of his backpack uncovered a prohibited rifle, a magazine and drug paraphernalia.
Jaydon Palamar, 27, from Dauphin has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with release order conditions x4;
- Weapons possession contrary to an order;
- Carrying a concealed weapon;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Palamar was remanded into custody.
