A 66-year-old man from Petit Cap, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Woodside, N.B.
On January 10, 2025, at approximately 1:50 p.m., members of the Shediac RCMP detachment responded to a report of a collision between a car and a transport truck on Highway 15 in Woodside. The driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the transport truck sustained what is believed to be minor injuries.
The collision is believed to have occurred when the car, travelling southbound, crossed the center-line and collided head-on with the transport truck.
Members of the Strait Shores Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office, and members of Public Safety, all attended the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
