84-year-old man dies following two-vehicle collision

An 84-year-old man from Richibucto, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Richibucto, N.B.

On February 28, 2025, at approximately 5:15 a.m., members of the Richibucto RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a car and a snow plow on Main Street in Richibucto. The driver and sole occupant of the car was transported to hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the snow plow was uninjured.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the car collided with the rear tires of the snow plow. 

Members of the Richibucto Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office is assisting with the ongoing investigation. 

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
