Two arrested, drugs seized

The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested a 44-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman following a drug seizure in Grand Manan, N.B.

On March 16, 2025, while conducting a check point on Route 776 in Grand Manan, police noticed contraband cigarettes in a vehicle occupied by three individuals. Following a search of the vehicle and its occupants, police seized a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
 
A 44-year-old man from Grand Manan, N.B., and a 39-year-old woman from Utopia, N.B., were arrested at the scene without incident. They were later released on conditions and will appear in Saint John Provincial Court at a later date. The third individual was released at the scene. 

The public also plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs. Anyone with information about, or who suspects, illegal drug activity in their neighbourhood is asked to contact their local police.
