The New Brunswick RCMP has requested the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT), an independent agency, to review police actions following a two-vehicle collision involving RCMP members in Boundary Creek, N.B.
In the morning hours of April 11, 2025, members of the Caledonia Region RCMP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Upper Mountain Road in Boundary Creek, N.B. During the response, an RCMP vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle. The RCMP officer was transported to hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the civilian vehicle was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
The New Brunswick RCMP is committed to being accountable and transparent to the communities it serves and has referred the incident to SiRT for an independent investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
