Twenty-eight-year-old Jordan Muise was arrested by Bay St. George RCMP on Tuesday for dangerous operation and flight from police.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, around 11:45 p.m., Bay St. George RCMP observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the Shallop Cove area. In the interest of public safety, officers did not engage in pursuit. A short time later, the same vehicle was found off the road in a ditch about a kilometre away. The driver, Muise, exited the vehicle and fled into the nearby woods on foot.
RCMP Police Dog Services were engaged. While Police Dog Services were enroute to the scene, Muise emerged from the woods and was detained by police. He attempted to flee a second time, and was taken into custody after a short struggle with the arresting officers.
Muise is currently in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court today. He is charged with:
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from police
- Resisting arrest
- Breach of release order – two counts
The investigation is continuing.
