RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador continues to seek the public’s assistance in its investigation into recent fires in Small Point-Adam's Cove-Blackhead-Broad Cove area, and ask anyone with video surveillance footage to contact police.

Residents who have video surveillance at their home or business or a trail camera on their property — and who are able to access that surveillance remotely — are asked to review footage from May to August 2025, and report any suspicious activity to Harbour Grace RCMP at 709-596-5014.

Officers in the Trinity-Conception area are currently investigating the wildfires that have impacted the area, with the assistance of the RCMP’s East District General Investigation Section, Major Crimes Unit, and Tactical Support Group. Investigations into small brushfires that were reported to police earlier this summer in the Harbour Grace area are also continuing.

A province-wide fire ban is currently in effect. Anyone who sees an active fire is asked to report it immediate to their local fire department.

If you have information about the cause of a fire, or if you would like to report suspicious activity, please contact your local police as soon as possible to make a report.
