Following an investigation that began in March 2025, charges have been laid by Glovertown RCMP against 33-year-old Miranda Collins.

In March 2025, the Town of Gambo contacted the RCMP about possible internal fraud. Collins, who was employed by the town at the time of the report, was suspected as being involved.

As part of the police investigation, the Town of Gambo hired a chartered professional accountant who carried out a forensic financial audit. The investigation discovered internal fraud in excess of $75,000.00.

This past week Collins was formally charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Fraud over $5,000.00,
  • Theft over $5,000.00.

Collins is set to make her first appearance in Gander Provincial Court on December 2, 2025.

Glovertown RCMP thanks the Town of Gambo for its cooperation and the assistance provided during the police investigation.
