Gander RCMP were called to the Gander International Airport on Friday morning after a flight from London to New York was forced to make a stop due to an unruly passenger.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on October 24, 2025, police in Gander were alerted of an international flight that was diverting to the local airport due to a disturbance on board. Gander RCMP and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) arrived at the airport, and police place one man under arrest and removed him from the plane.

The passenger — a 33-year-old American man — was turned over the CBSA, and the flight was able to resume its journey a short time later.

RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador thanks the Gander International Airport Authority and the CBSA for their assistance with this incident.
