Bay St. George RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at Golden Gifts store in Stephenville during the early morning hours of November 15, 2025.

On Saturday morning at approximately 5:50 a.m., the suspect broke in through the front entrance of Golden Gifts store at 1 Main Street in Stephenville. The person entered and stole money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.

Video surveillance from the incident shows a suspect who appears to be male, approximately 5’10 – 6 feet tall, with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a bandana over his face, black sneaker boots, jeans, a dark coloured jacket and a sweater with the hood up during the incident.

Bay St. George RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with information about the suspect to contact police. Residents or businesses with surveillance video or images from the area near the store around the time of the break and enter are also asked to call Bay St. George RCMP at 709-643-2118.
