Man arrested and charged related to multiple break, enter and thefts in the Bay Roberts area

RCMP East District General Investigation Section (GIS) with support from Bay Roberts RCMP, have arrested a man in relation to multiple occurrences of break, enter and theft in the area since July 2025.
On October 30, 2025, RCMP East District General Investigation Section (GIS) and Bay Roberts RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Bay Roberts connected to two incidents of break, enter and thefts at a cabin in Ocean Pond and an RV Park in Mackinsons in July 2025, and a third at a local medical clinic in August 2025. Stolen property related to these occurrences was located and seized during the search.
The subject of the search warrant, 49-year-old Leonard Fitzpatrick, was arrested without incident at a nearby business.
As a result of the investigation, Fitzpatrick has been charged with:
- Break and enter to a business – 2 counts
- Possession of stolen property obtained by crime – 3 counts
- Failure to comply with a release order – 3 counts
The investigation is continuing, with additional charges possible.
