Gander RCMP arrests and charges man for uttering threats, controlled substance located

A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged by Gander RCMP on Wednesday for uttering threats, failure to comply with a release order and possession of a controlled substance.
Just after 8:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026, Gander RCMP responded to a report of a man threatening another person. Police located him and placed him under arrest for uttering threats.
Brandon Lynch, 22, was also found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions and in possession of cocaine. He was held in police custody to appear in Gander Provincial Court on Thursday.
He has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
- Uttering threats,
- Failure to comply with a condition of a Release Order,
- Possession of a controlled drug or substance – cocaine.
He is also facing charges of assault (two counts) and criminal harassment in relation to a previous incident.
