Burin Peninsula RCMP arrested 47-year-old Kimberley Armstrong on Tuesday after a theft at a restaurant in Marystown. The Burin woman now faces charges of theft and failure to comply with her probation order.

Just after 3:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026, Burin Peninsula RCMP responded to a theft of a cellular phone, taken from a patron inside a pub restaurant on Ville Marie Drive in Marystown. Staff identified the woman as Kimberley Mary Armstrong, 47, and provided her description to police.

Responding officers located Armstrong a short time later and took her into custody without incident.

She is expected to appear in Grand Bank Provincial Court today (January 14, 2026), to face charges of theft under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.

The investigation is ongoing.
