UPDATE: (February 2, 2026) Harbour Grace RCMP confirms that the stolen snowmobile was located on Friday January 30, 2026 and returned to its owner.

Harbour Grace RCMP is investigating the theft of an off-road vehicle from a private property in Carbonear, and asking anyone with information to contact police. 

At approximately 8:40 a.m. on January 29, 2026, Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a call about a snowmobile stolen from outside a home on Tyres Drung Road. 

The snowmobile is a 2006 Ski-Doo GTX, blue and white in colour, with VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) 2BPSEO6A66V000456 and Newfoundland and Labrador license plate #SEL 028.

A photo of the vehicle is attached.

Anyone with information about the theft or current location of this snowmobile is asked to contact Harbour Grace RCMP as soon as possible at 709-596-5014.
