  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking that anyone who witnessed, or who may have video surveillance or dash camera footage of a male with a firearm along Poplar Road to contact Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP at 709-489-2121.

To ensure the safety of the public and our officers, all firearms are treated as real and loaded until proven otherwise. Imitation guns like airsoft, BB, and pellet guns are treated as weapons, and pose a significant risk to public and police safety when handled, used or stored improperly. Police take all firearms-related complaints seriously, and careless use of any firearm can result in charges under the Criminal Code and/or Firearms Act.
