Gander RCMP arrested a 33-year-old man after a break and enter early Monday morning at a cabin in Smiths Waters.

On February 16, shortly after 3:15 a.m., police received a report of a break and enter at a cabin in the Gander area. A resident of the cabin provided officers with the name and a description of the suspect, as well as a description of the car used to leave the scene.

No items were reported as stolen from the cabin, and no one was injured during the break and enter.

Police conducted patrols and located the vehicle outside a home in Gander. Inside the home, they located and arrested a 33-year-old man, who has been charged with break and enter.

The man was released with conditions, and will appear in court in April 2026.

The investigation is ongoing.
