Harbour Brenton RCMP seized a vehicle from a 27-year-old suspended driver during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in Conne River.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on May 28, an officer stopped a vehicle travelling along Main Street in Conne River. Checks conducted on the driver confirmed that the 27-year-old man’s driver’s licence was had been suspended in 2021.
The driver was issued a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while disqualified. The car he was operating was seized by police and impounded.
RCMP officers proactively patrol roadways across Newfoundland and Labrador looking for impaired drivers, checking for seatbelts and ensuring vehicles and drivers are operating safely and with the appropriate documentation. Motorists are reminded to drive safe, drive sober and ensure that your licence, registration and insurance are always up to date.
