The Labrador District Community Policing, Crime Prevention & Victim Services Unit is excited to bring back our Positive Ticketing Program for the summer season.

Throughout the summer, RCMP officers in Labrador will be on patrol, looking for youth demonstrating positive behaviours in our communities.

Whether it’s showing kindness to another, wearing a helmet while biking, helping others, practicing safety or simply being a great role model, those caught doing something positive in our communities may receive a Positive Ticket. These tickets can then be redeemed for a prize generously donated by our local sponsors.

This program would not be possible without the continued support of our community partners. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all our sponsors for helping us recognize and reward the many young people who make our communities a better place. Your generosity and commitment to our youth help make this program a success year after year.

Interested in supporting our Positive Ticketing Program? If your business or organization would like to become a sponsor for future initiatives, please reach out to the Labrador District CPVS unit at 709-896-1231.

Quotes

As we celebrate summer in Labrador, we know it’s important to continue our connection with local children and youth and to encourage safe and community-minded behaviours. We hope to see young people getting outside, being safe and showing kindness to friends and neighbours — and we look forward to rewarding them for these activities!
