Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charges four people with drug trafficking

The Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) has charged four people in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
On June 19, the SCEU, assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, the Colchester County District RCMP SCEU and General Investigative Section, the East Hants District RCMP SCEU, the Cumberland County District RCMP, and the Amherst Police Department, executed three search warrants at a property in Amherst.
Four people, all from Amherst, were safely arrested at the scene. Investigators seized quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and a prohibited weapon.
George Robert Saunders, 41, Jennifer Donna Gabriel, 46, Keilie Amanda Gabriel, 25, and John Baker, 45, have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. They’ve been released on conditions and are due back in Amherst Provincial Court on July 28.
Three other individuals, also from Amherst, were arrested in connection to the investigation and released without charges.
