RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment investigating two-vehicle collision

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Enfield.
On August 24, at approximately 11:14 am, officers from RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment with East Hants District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Hwy. 102 north of exit 7. Responding officers learned that a southbound GMC Sierra had crossed the median and became airborne prior to colliding with a northbound Honda CRV on the roadway.
The driver of the Honda CRV, a 51-year-old man from Quebec, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger, also from Quebec, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight. The driver of the pickup, a 38-year-old man from South Carolina, was transported to hospital by EHS with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Halifax Regional Detachment RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP’s Collision and Reconstruction Service (CARS).

Hwy. 102 at exit 7 was closed for several hours while CARS completed its work. The investigation is ongoing.
