Colchester County District RCMP has charged a man in relation to theft of copper wire.
On September 25, at approximately 10:35 a.m., Colchester County District RCMP responded to a report of copper wires being cut at a utility sub station on Plains Rd. in Debert.
Through the investigation, officers identified a person of interest and attended a residence on Plains Rd. where he was believed to be.
Outside the residence, officers observed copper wire cables and sheathing on the property. They safely arrested a man and woman at the residence for possession of stolen property.
Nathan Neil Rehberg, 36, of Debert has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Theft and Mischief. He appeared in Truro Provincial Court on September 26 and was released on conditions.
The woman was released without charge.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Colchester General Investigation Section.
