Annapolis County District RCMP is investigating a fatal ATV crash that occurred in Deep Brook.
On September 30 at approximately 11:10 p.m., Annapolis County District RCMP responded to a report of an abandoned ATV on Hwy. 101 on the east side of the Bear River bridge. Officers searched the area and no one was initially located.
After further investigation including the use of a remote piloted aircraft system (drone), officers located a person nearby who was found to be deceased. He was identified as a 38-year-old Cornwallis Park man.
RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services was consulted to support the investigation, which is ongoing.
Investigators want to speak with anyone who observed a grey and light green ATV (in operation or stopped) on Hwy. 101 or in the surrounding area during the evening of September 30, up to approximately 11:10 p.m.
