Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Pinehurst.

On November 27, at approximately 7:50 a.m., RCMP, EHS and fire services responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 4600 block of Hwy. 10.  Officers learned a Jeep Wrangler was travelling northbound when it left the road and entered the LaHave River.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 46-year-old man from LaHave, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash and Hwy. 10 was closed for several hours.  The roadway has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this difficult time.
