RCMP seize cocaine and cash, four people facing charges of drug trafficking in Antigonish

Antigonish County District RCMP have seized cocaine and cash and have charged four people for drug trafficking in Antigonish.
On November 25, at approximately 1:40 p.m., an off-duty RCMP officer observed what they believed was a drug transaction take place in a parking lot on Creighton Lane. The off-duty officer saw a man, the driver and lone occupant of a Honda Civic, exit the vehicle, retrieve an item from the trunk, and enter a Hyundai Santa Fe occupied by individuals known to be involved in the drug trade.
A short time later, uniformed RCMP officers attended the parking lot and arrested the man associated to the Honda along with the four occupants of the Hyundai. The occupants and the vehicles were searched, resulting in the seizure of cash, cocaine and other drugs.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 46-year-old woman of East Havre Boucher, was released and is scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court at a later date. She’s facing a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine).
The three passengers in the Hyundai, Nigel William Thomas Henderson, 35, of Paq’tnkek, Emily Jessica Barker, 32, of Masstown, and Jed Douglas Decoste, 35, of Afton, have all been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine). Decoste is also facing a charge of Obstruction. Barker and Decoste remain in custody and are appearing in Antigonish Provincial Court on December 17. Henderson is scheduled to appear in court on December 1.
A 42-year-old man associated to the Honda was arrested and later released.
The investigation is ongoing.
