Meteghan RCMP seized cocaine and tobacco after a traffic stop in Meteghan Station.
On December 3 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Meteghan RCMP officer was on patrol around Dentremont Rd. and observed a vehicle that stopped on the travel portion of the road. The officer conducted a traffic stop and observed unstamped tobacco in the vehicle. The officers safely arrested the driver and only occupant of the vehicle.
As the officer seized the unstamped tobacco products, he located a quantity of cocaine and other items consistent with drug trafficking in the vehicle. These items were also seized by police.
When officers searched the driver incidental to arrest, they located more cocaine in pockets.
Susan Marie Robichaud, 67, of Saint Bernard, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine). She was released on conditions pending a court appearance scheduled for February 23, 2026, at Digby Provincial Court.
Detachment Commander Sgt. Jeff Leblanc says that this investigation is part of the Meteghan RCMP’s ongoing commitment to safer communities.
“One of our detachment priorities is the enforcement of drug trafficking, because the community has told us that this is important,” says Sgt. Leblanc. “We are striving to be proactive in our enforcement in addition to following up on tips and calls from the public.”
