The Southwest Nova RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SWN SCEU) has arrested a man after a months-long drug trafficking investigation.

On December 18, the SWN SCEU, with assistance of the Yarmouth RCMP General Investigation Section and the Digby RCMP Detachment, executed a search warrant at a home on Carlton St. in Digby as part of a drug trafficking investigation that began in September.

During the search, officers safely arrested a man and seized more than 1 kg of cocaine, a quantity of cash and electronic devices.

The 64-year-old man of Digby was released on an Undertaking. He will appear in Digby Provincial Court on March 9 to face charges for drug trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime, and breaching his probation.
