Lunenburg District RCMP investigating theft of lobster, requesting public assistance

Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating theft of lobster valued at more than $13000 and requesting information from the public.

On December 21, at approximately 10:20 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a complaint of a break and enter and theft at a commercial property on Upper Blandford Rd. in Deep Cove. Officers learned an individual or individuals broke the door locks, entered the building and took 13 crates of lobster.

The theft is believed to have occurred between 3 and 3:30 a.m. It’s possible the individual(s) entered the property with a truck or a boat. Each crate is marked with a paper tag.
