West Hants RCMP is investigating a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian that resulted in life-threatening injuries to the pedestrian.

On April 16, at approximately 1:30 p.m., RCMP, fire services and EHS responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of O’Brien St. and Wentworth Rd. in Windsor.

Officers learned a Ford truck was travelling on O’Brien St. and struck a pedestrian when making a turn onto Wentworth Rd.

The pedestrian, a 69-year-old woman from Garlands Crossing, suffered life-threatening injuries and was immediately attended to by witnesses. She was then transported to hospital by EHS.

The driver and lone occupant of the truck, a 58-year-old-man from New Minas, did not report physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
