On April 21, Pictou County District RCMP requested public assistance in locating 61-year-old Steven Boudreau who was last seen on Elgin Rd. in Hopewell on April 18 at approximately 5 p.m.

Boudreau is described as 6-foot-2 and approximately 190 lbs. He has grey hair and blue eyes.

As the investigation continued, investigators determined that the circumstances surrounding Boudreau’s disappearance are suspicious. The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit then assumed lead of the investigation.

Earlier today, April 24, officers recovered a white Honda Accord in Kings County. The vehicle is currently being processed by RCMP Forensic Identification Services; however, it is believed to be Boudreau’s car.

The investigation is being assisted by Pictou County District RCMP, Kings District RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identifications Services and other support units.

Anyone with information relating to this investigation, including information on the whereabouts of Boudreau, is asked to call the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit at 902-365-3120.
