Sanirajak man charged with Sex offences

On May 25, 2025, the Sanirajak RCMP and the Nunavut RCMP’s Specialized Investigative Team (SIT), charged, Simeonie Issigaitok (age 71) with:
- Three counts of Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 C.C
- Thee counts of Sexual Interference, contrary to Section 151 C.C
- One count of Breach of Prohibition, contrary to Section 161(4) C.C
Issigaitok was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for June 24, 2025, in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
