The Nunavut RCMP, in collaboration with Nunavut Emergency Management, Arctic Bay Hamlet officials, Canadian Rangers, community volunteers, and other supporting agencies, continue to search for 14-year-old male, Richard Jr Bohlender, also known as Jaaji.
Richard was last seen on June 28, 2025, in Arctic Bay and was reported missing on June 30, 2025. Coordinated search efforts began shortly thereafter.
In the days since, search operations have expanded to include additional RCMP investigators, the Canadian Rangers, and Ground Search and Rescue volunteers. Resources continue to be mobilized.
Richard Jr Bohlender is described as:
- Inuk male
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
- 5’4 tall
- 140lbs
