Yellowknife RCMP were deployed at Mildred Hall School on April 15th, after receiving a report of a threat made by a 13-year-old student that could have endangered students and staff.
At approximately 11:30 am, on April 15th, Yellowknife RCMP along with ‘G’ Division Police Dog Services, were dispatched to Mildred Hall School after receiving the initial complaint.
The 13-year-old uttered a threat with a knife that was putting staff and students in danger. The school was immediately put into lockdown due to the nature of complaint.
Yellowknife RCMP seized the knife without incident and brought the youth to Stanton Territorial Hospital to receive proper care.
No students or staff were injured during this incident.
