Quotes
The RCMP in PEI is able to employ a variety of specialized resources while working to prevent crime. The nature of the crimes in this incident, including the use of a 3-D printer to manufacture weapons, is of great concern. Through a comprehensive investigation by the Federal and Serious Organized Crime (FSOC) unit, we were able to seize and analyze evidence and to advance criminal charges for prosecution. The specialized skills of the FSOC Unit, our digital forensic team, police dog services, NWEST, crime analyst, and the great work of Queens District RCMP, combined to have a positive impact on enhancing public safety for all Islanders.
Sergeant Chris Goodwin, Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge, FSOC PEI
