Prince District RCMP has laid impaired driving causing death charges against a 74-year-old Stanley Bridge man in connection to a single vehicle crash that took the life of a 70-year-old woman on January 1, 2025.
On January 1, 2025, at 4:35 p.m. Prince District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash in Clinton where an SUV went off the road into a ditch on Route 6. Two occupants were in the vehicle at the time. A 70-year-old woman was pronounced deceased, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving and hospitalized for his injuries.
James B. Andrew has been charged with one count of impaired driving causing death, and one count of impaired driving over 80 mg causing death. His first appearance court date will be on June 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Charlottetown Provincial Court.
