A 50-year-old Stratford man has died from injuries received in a single vehicle crash on Route 2 in the Dunstaffnage area of P.E.I.
At 9:05 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Queens District RCMP, North Shore Fire Department and Island EMS were dispatched to a 9-1-1 call from a member of the public. At the scene, a single vehicle was noted to have rolled off the road and into the ditch. The driver was located a distance from the car in a wooded area and was provided assistance from Island EMS and North Shore Fire Department members. Provincial Department of Transportation crews assisted with closing Route 2 for just over 2 hours.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. An RCMP traffic reconstructionist attended the scene and an RCMP drone operator also supported the initial investigation, which remains ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
