Stratford RCMP are investigating the theft of four stolen vehicles that were recovered heavily damaged on October 19, 2025.
During the overnight hours of October 18-19, four vehicles were stolen in Stratford. Three were returned heavily damaged to their owners or near by and a fourth was found damaged under a transport truck trailer in the Stratford Home Hardware parking lot. The investigation has determined that there were at least two individuals connected to these thefts, and one is described as younger and short. All of the vehicles had their keys left in them. Several other vehicles on Golf View Drive had been rummaged through that night, but nothing was reported stolen. The investigation is centered around the Golf View Drive, Edgeview Court and Montrose Drive areas. There is also substantial evidence of reckless and dangerous driving with these stolen vehicles. If you saw anything that can assist with this investigation, please contact the Stratford RCMP at 902-367-9300. This investigation is ongoing.
The stolen vehicles include:
- 2025 white Ford F150
- 2023 black Subaru Ascent
- 2014 grey Chevrolet Malibu
- 2022 white and black Volvo XC40
Quotes
At least one of these vehicles appears to be a complete write-off and the rest of the vehicles sustained tens of thousands of dollars in damage. This is a sobering reminder of the importance of not leaving your keys in your car, not only to prevent theft but also to protect the public from dangerous driving that can come from the theft.
