Two impaired drivers stopped this weekend thanks to tips from the public

At 2:30 p.m. on November 14, 2025, Kings District RCMP arrested a 61-year-old man for impaired driving by alcohol in Montague following at tip from the public. In the process of making the traffic stop the driver backed into an unrelated parked car twice. The driver will appear in court at a later date. No one was injured and the vehicle was not seriously damaged.

At 2:50 a.m. on November 15, 2025 Queens District RCMP arrested a 57-year-old woman for impaired driving by alcohol in Warren Grove following a tip from the public. She will appear in court at a later date.

“Tips from the public are extremely important in helping to address impaired driving; 1/3 of all impaired arrests in PEI RCMP jurisdiction start with a call from a concerned citizen. If you see a suspected impaired driver, call 911” said Cpl Gavin Moore, Media Relations Officer with the PEI RCMP.
