Two Separate Collisions Lead to Impaired Driving Arrests in Queens County

Queens District RCMP responded to two unrelated motor vehicle collisions on December 22, 2025, both of which resulted in impaired driving arrests.

At 4:55 p.m., Queens District RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at the roundabout in North River. A vehicle had struck two traffic signs. No injuries were reported. A 62-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. He provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit. He will appear in court at a later date.

At 10:39 p.m. Queens District RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in Mount Herbert. No injuries were reported. A 35-year-old woman was arrested for impaired driving, she refused a breath demand. Refusing to provide a breath sample carries similar penalties as a conviction for impaired driving. She will appear in court at a later date.

Over the holiday season remember to plan ahead, impaired driving puts everyone at risk. If you see a suspected impaired driver, call 911 immediately.
