Big River RCMP investigating firearm discharge on Big River First Nation

Big River RCMP continue to search for a truck involved in a firearm discharge on Big River First Nation. The truck is described as an early 2000’s model white Chevrolet or GMC with a ¾ ton long-box and a broken rear window. The driver of the truck was reportedly a male wearing a black mask. The truck was last seen on March 18 around 5:40 p.m. driving northbound on Highway #793 on Big River First Nation. The trucks current whereabouts are unknown. No injuries have been reported to police in relation to this incident.

If you see the white truck do not approach it and call police immediately. The occupants are considered to be armed and dangerous. Big River RCMP ask anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity on Big River First Nation on the evening of March 18, to contact police by dialling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Around 5:40 p.m., March 18, 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP received two reports of gunshots fired from a white, early 2000’s model Chevrolet or GMC, ¾ ton long-box truck in the community of Big River First Nation. The truck has a broken rear window and its reportedly being driven by a male who may be wearing a black mask. The truck was last seen driving northbound on Highway #793 on Big River First Nation. No injuries have been reported to police.

If you see this white truck, do not approach it and call police immediately. The occupants are considered armed and dangerous. If you have information to report to police, call 911 in an emergency, 310-RCMP in a non-emergency or report a tip anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
