Carnduff RCMP investigating false police report and vehicle arson

On April 20, 2025, Carnduff RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle.
Later that day, the detachment received a report of a vehicle on fire northeast of Outram, SK. Investigation determined it was the vehicle reported as stolen.
Further investigation determined the vehicle had not been stolen and the initial report to police was false. The vehicle fire was determined to be suspicious in nature.
Carnduff RCMP arrested an adult female in relation to the investigation on April 25.
29-year-old Brittany Samson from Glen Ewen, SK is charged with:
- one count, arson for fraudulent purpose, Section 435(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, fraud over $5,000, Section 380(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, public mischief, Section 140(1)(c), Criminal Code.
She is scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on June 9, 2025 (Information #90554058).
Carnduff RCMP continue to investigate.
