Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges after Saskatchewan RCMP apprehended a wanted offender in La Ronge, SK.
On May 7, 2025, officers with the Saskatchewan RCMP La Ronge Crime Reduction Team (CRT) located an adult female in a vehicle in La Ronge who was wanted on warrants from La Ronge RCMP, Saskatoon Police Service and Regina Police Service. Her offences included theft of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and assault with a weapon.
Officers placed her under arrest for her warrants. During the arrest, officers observed illicit drugs in plain view in the vehicle. A second occupant of the vehicle, an adult male, was also arrested.
During subsequent searches of the arrested individuals and vehicle, officers located and seized a significant sum of cash, 55.4 grams of cocaine and additional drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result of investigation, 36-year-old Linda Dumais and 28-year-old Wyatt Dumais, both of La Ronge, SK, are each charged with:
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
Linda Dumais and Wyatt Dumais appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on May 8, 2025.
