ARRESTED: Deschambault Lake RCMP asking the public to report sightings of Maverick Eninew

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team located and arrested Maverick Eninew in Deschambault Lake on June 23, 2025.

He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on June 25, 2025

Deschambault Lake RCMP asking the public to report sightings of Maverick Eninew

Deschambault Lake RCMP is asking the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of 26-year-old Maverick Eninew. He also goes by the name ‘Mavvy’.

On June 18, 2025 at approximately 4:03 p.m., Deschambault Lake RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence in Deschambault Lake, SK.

Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined an altercation occurred between two adult males. One of them had injuries described as serious and was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as 39-year-old Steven Michel. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.

The adult male and the victim were known to one another.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took carriage of this investigation. As a result, Maverick Eninew from Deschambault Lake, SK is wanted on warrant by Deschambault Lake RCMP for one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

Maverick Eninew is described as:         

  • Height: 5 ft 8 in
  • Weight: 157 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour and style: black
  • Other descriptors: flower tattoo on back of hand. He may be wearing a black baseball cap and black hoodie.

Maverick Eninew is known to travel to the following areas:

  • Deschambault Lake, SK
  • Prince Albert, SK
