On October 2, 2025, Lumsden RCMP received a report of a stolen SUV. Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals stole the vehicle from the driveway of a residence in Regina Beach.

Officers continued looking for the vehicle and following up on information received about its whereabouts.

On October 5 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Melville RCMP received a report that the SUV was near Melville. Officers located it on Highway #10, activated their emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle continued driving, evading numerous efforts to stop it.
