Saskatchewan RCMP: charges laid following drug trafficking investigation

On October 21, 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) executed a search warrant at a residence in Swift Current in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The following items were located and seized by officers:

• approximately 255 grams of cocaine;
• a large sum of cash;
• four mobile phones;
• brass knuckles;
• trafficking paraphernalia; and
• 18 cartons of unstamped cigarettes.

An adult male was arrested on Central Avenue North in relation to this investigation.

32-year-old Tristan Humeniuk-Francis, from Edmonton, AB is charged with:

• one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
• one count, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, Section 354(1), Criminal Code;
• one count, possession of a prohibited weapon, Section 92(2), Criminal Code; and
• one count, possession of unstamped tobacco, Section 32(1), Excise Act.

Tristan Humeniuk-Francis appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court on October 22, 2025.
