Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes: charges laid after male’s death

On October 3, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., Pinehouse RCMP received a report of a shooting just outside of Pinehouse, SK.
Officers immediately responded and located a seriously injured adult male. He was transported to the local clinic where he was declared deceased. He has been identified as 30-year-old Braydon Natomagan from Pinehouse. His family has been notified.
Investigation determined an altercation occurred between a group of individuals. A firearm was discharged, injuring the victim. The two suspects fled from the scene in a vehicle. Officers began patrolling the surrounding area and observed the vehicle near Beauval. Officers activated their vehicle’s emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle continued to attempt to flee from police before coming to a stop on an off-road trail. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took carriage of the investigation and as a result, have charged 25-year-old Christopher Nolan with:
- one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, firearm possession while prohibited, Section 109(2), Criminal Code.
Christopher Nolan is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on October 6, 2025.
31-year-old Kelsey Iron is charged with:
- one count, accessory after the fact to murder, Section 240, Criminal Code;
- one count, flight from police, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, dangerous driving, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, refusal to comply with breath demand, Section 320.15(1), Criminal Code.
Kelsey Iron is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on October 6, 2025.
