UPDATE #2 – Prince Albert RCMP: Two wanted following stabbing on Muskoday First Nation

On February 26, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST) located and arrested Chance Smith at a residence on Muskoday First Nation. Chance Smith was arrested on his outstanding warrant from Prince Albert RCMP in relation to a stabbing that occurred on Muskoday First Nation in January 2026.

During the arrest, officers located and seized brass knuckles that Chance Smith had in his possession.

As a result, Chance Smith was additionally charged with:

  • one count, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon, Section 91(2), Criminal Code;
  • one count, carrying a concealed weapon, Section 90, Criminal Code;
  • one count, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.

Chance Smith appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on February 27, 2026 (Information #90543915 and #90543669). His next court appearance is in Prince Albert Provincial Court on March 5.

On February 4, 2026 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Prince Albert Police Service located and arrested Jordan Stonestand.

Jordan Stonestand is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on February 5, 2026. 

Prince Albert RCMP continue to ask the public for help in locating 27-year-old Chance Smith. A photo of him is attached.

Two males are charged and wanted by Prince Albert RCMP after two people were assaulted on Muskoday First Nation.

On January 24, 2026, around 6:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a residence on Muskoday First Nation, SK.

RCMP officers responded immediately along with EMS and STARS. Officers located two adult male victims with injuries consistent with stab wounds. EMS transported one of the victims to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The second victim was transported to hospital by STARS with injuries described as serious. We do not have an update on their conditions.

Investigation determined four suspects wearing masks entered a residence on Muskoday First Nation. Two of the suspects assaulted the victims. All four suspects fled the scene in a vehicle that was later located by police with no occupants inside.

As a result of investigation, 34-year-old Jordan Stonestand from Muskoday First Nation and 27-year-old Chance Smith from Prince Albert, SK are each charged with:

  • two counts, aggravated assault, Section 268, Criminal Code;
  • one count, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88, Criminal Code;
  • one count, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, disguise with intent, Section 351(2), Criminal Code.

Jordan Stonestand is also charged with:

  • two counts, weapons/firearms possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87, Criminal Code .

Chance Smith is also charged with one count, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.

A warrant has been issued for Jordan Stonestand and Chance Smith’s arrest. Prince Albert RCMP continue to work to locate them and ask the public to report sightings and information on their whereabouts.

  • Height: 6 ft 2 in
  • Weight: 165 lb
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour: brown

Chance Smith is described as:

  • Height: 6 ft 2 in
  • Weight: 152 lb
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour: black

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate, including determining the identity of the other two suspects.
