Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team (CRT) charged three males after seizing cocaine, methamphetamine, and weapons at a business on the Highway #16 Bypass in North Battleford, SK.

On February 7, 2026, Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford CRT were making proactive patrols in North Battleford. During their patrols, officers located a vehicle that was previously reported to police as stolen. The vehicle was in a business parking lot on the Highway #16 Bypass in North Battleford. The vehicle had no occupants and was recovered by police.

While at the business investigating the stolen vehicle, North Battleford CRT saw a male with a firearm inside the business. As a result of investigation, officers entered the business and arrested three males.

Officers obtained a warrant and searched a room in the business where the males were arrested. During the search, officers located and seized approximately 379 grams of powder cocaine, approximately 24 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of crystal methamphetamine, a firearm, a sword, bear spray, ammunition, and a sum of cash.

As a result of continued investigation, 47-year-old Steven Nighttraveller from Little Pine First Nation, 34-year-old Nissar Khan from North Battleford, and 22-year-old Isaiah Pewapisconias from Little Pine First Nation, are each charged with:

  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • two counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
  • one count, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, Section 108(1)(b), Criminal Code; and
  • two counts, unsafe storage of firearm/ammunition, Section 86(2), Criminal Code.

Steven Nighttraveller is additionally charged with:

  • two counts, possession of a firearm/ammunition when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code; and
  • four counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code.

Isaiah Pewapisconias is additionally charged with two counts, possession of a firearm/ammunition when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code.

Steven Nighttraveller, Nissar Khan, and Isaiah Pewapisconias appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on February 9, 2026.
