Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team-Gang Task Force (CRT-GTF) have charged an adult male after a firearm and ammunition were seized at a business in North Battleford.
On February 12, 2026, Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford CRT-GTF — with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team — executed a search warrant at a business on the Highway #16 bypass in North Battleford as a part of an ongoing firearms investigation.
During the search, officers located one unsafely stored firearm and ammunition.
Six individuals were arrested at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, 50-year-old Trebor Swindler of North Battleford was charged with:
- one count, unlawful possession of a non-restricted firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, careless storage of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code.
The five other individuals were released from police custody without charge.
Trebor Swindler appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on February 13, 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing.
