Dawson City RCMP investigation results in firearms related charges and seizure of a 3D printed handgun

An adult male Dawson City resident has been charged in connection with the discharge of a firearm in the downtown area that occurred April 7, 2025.

At midnight on April 7, 2025, Dawson City RCMP received a report of several gunshots in the area of Princess Street and Second Avenue. Police immediately attended the area, and thanks to the information obtained from witnesses, an arrest was made shortly after 12:30 am.

A search warrant was obtained and executed later that morning at residence in Dawson City. Police seized a 3D printed handgun, a magazine containing 9mm ammunition and an unloaded rifle that was not safely secured.

25-year-old Silver-Lee Vijay Tucker has been charged with five counts of firearms related offences including careless use of a prohibited firearm and unsafe storage. Mr. Tucker was released by police on an undertaking with conditions and a court appearance on June 17, 2025.
