Police Investigating Firearms Incident – Requesting Public Assistance

Whitehorse RCMP are currently investigating an incident involving the discharge of firearms that occurred in the Selkirk Street area in the Riverdale Subdivision at approximately 8:00pm on April 27, 2025.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired and are actively gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. One individual is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, heard anything unusual, or noticed any suspicious activity in the area is urged to come forward. Additionally, if you have dash cam footage, home surveillance, or doorbell camera recordings from the vicinity around the time of the incident, investigators would like to review that material.
